How To Convert Your Aeron Chair to Stool Height

1. Turn your seat upside down and lay on a flat surface. Take a pipe wrench and twist the shaft and pull out the old cylinder completely out of the mechanism under your seat. You may need to spray WD40 in the area where the cylinder meets the mechanism and let it soak overnight. You may also need someone to hold the chair while you twist the old cylinder off with the pipe wrench.

2. Slide the new taller gas cylinder shaft into the hole of the mechanism under the seat.

3. Slide on the big foot ring and tighten to desired height.

4. Slide fat part of new cylinder into the big hole in the 5 star base.

5. Turn chair right side up!

If the chair height is raising on its own, you need to take the plastic cover off of the mechanism top and adjust the set screw with an allen key. #4 metric.

MAKE SURE THAT IF YOUR CHAIR HAS A REAR TILT FUNCTION, THAT IT IS LOCKED OFF! YOU DON'T WANT TO FALL BACKWARD!
